Mohammed Ali Al Shorafa Al Hammadi, CEO and Managing Director of UEMedical, brings a host of strengths to his leadership role at UEMedical with his successful track record and proven abilities in strategic planning, policy implementation, financial investments and innovative management skills. He is also a Board Member in the Strategic Partnership Council of the Department of Health - Abu Dhabi, as well as a Board Member and the Chairman of the Healthcare Working Group of the UAE-UK Business Council. Leading investments in the healthcare sector worth over 4 Billion Dirhams in the region with over 3000 employees in the Middle East, Mr. Al Shorafa aspires to redefine the definition of healthcare by promoting quality care that meets international standards. By strategically partnering with leading international players in the healthcare sector, Mr. Al Shorafa aims to create an unbeatable healthcare proposition that combines exceptional services, highly-qualified medical teams and innovative technologies to curate a reassuring and welcoming patient-centric environment across the UEMedical portfolio in UAE and the region. He is currently serving as a Board Member in a number of leading organizations spanning a variety of sectors throughout the region that include U.P.I, Baniyas Concrete; and is Vice Chairman of United Eastern Group (UEG) and Gulf Contractors Company (GCC). Prior to launching UEMedical, Mr. Al Shorafa worked for over 9 years at Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA) before taking up his current role in the healthcare development sector. Mr. Al Shorafa was recently named by Arabian Business in parentship with Bombardier as one of the world’s most powerful Arabs in 2019. He holds a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from London Business School and has also attended a variety of programs at reputed institutions such as MIT Sloan and Citibank Global Asset Management. He has most recently graduated from the Senior Executive Leadership Program of the renowned Harvard Business School, Boston, USA.
