Dr. Munjed Al Muderis

Professor Munjed Al Muderis is a world-renowned, Australian-trained orthopaedic surgeon, author, and human rights advocate, internationally recognised for his pioneering work in limb reconstruction and osseointegration in clinical practice. His clinical expertise includes hip and knee arthroplasty and complex reconstructive surgery.

In late 2025, he joined the Paley Orthopedic & Spine Institute, a leading centre for orthopaedic innovation, where he plays a principal role in advancing limb reconstruction, amputee optimisation, and osseointegration at one of the foremost orthopaedic centres in the United States.

He completed his orthopaedic training in Australia in 2008, followed by advanced fellowships in Germany and Switzerland. He holds a Doctor of Medical Science (DMedSc) from the University of Notre Dame Australia for his research in Osseointegration, and academic appointments as Clinical Professor at Macquarie University and Adjunct Clinical Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Notre Dame Australia School of Medicine, Sydney.

In 2010, he founded the Osseointegration Group of Australia, now one of the most experienced centres worldwide.
