Andrea Maggioni, MD, PhD, MBA

Dr Andrea Maggioni is the Director of Global Health and Attending in the Division of Pediatric Hospital Medicine at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, Miami, FL, USA. He is an Associate Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at Florida International University, Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine.Board Certified Pediatrician specialized in Inpatient Hospital Care, with 30 years of clinical, operations management and sustainable revenue growth experiences in different health care settings at a global level. He received his medical degree from the University of Rome “La Sapienza” where he completed the residency in pediatrics and a Ph.D. in neonatal nutrition. He moved to the USA in 1993 at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY where he founded one of the first Hospitalist program in the country and served as Chief of Inpatient Services.
