
Ahmed has over 20 years of healthcare leadership experience in a variety of leadership roles; most recently as a Head of Business Development & Client Relations at GMMI where he leads strategic relationships with payors, assistance companies, and governmental agencies to provide cost containment access to U.S. healthcare.
Before joining GMMI, Ahmed worked at UnitedHealth Group for 16 years in various leaderships roles within UnitedHealth Care, OptumHealth and UnitedHealth Care Global. Ahmed’s last role was at UHC Global leading strategic alliances where he was principally responsible for developing long term, strategic relationships with multi-national organizations, consultants and alliance partners seeking solutions for their international employee health and wellness benefits. Ahmed worked with employers, governmental entities, alliance partners in Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Ahmed has vast experience within the U.S. and global healthcare benefits industry holding roles in client development and management, provider contracting, marketing and product development.
Ahmed received his Master of Business Administration focusing on international business and his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Florida Atlantic University, Boca Raton, Florida. Ahmed grew up in Chicago, IL, has lived in Los Angles, New York and currently resides in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
