Medical Travel | Medical Travel Destination Development: What’s Working and What’s Not?
The fact is, that there are no regulations surrounding medical tourism and very few legislative initiatives or international funding options to develop a destination as a health tourism destination. This session will discuss how destinations can develop themselves as a leading hub for medical tourism. What works and what doesn’t? This session will also examine the government’s role in developing a destination from the perspective of a Department of Health, Convention Bureau and a Tourism Board.
